Are you ready to add a decadent treat to your Christmas dessert spread? Look no further than these cherry cordial candies! These bite-sized treats are filled with a sweet cherry compote and coated in rich chocolate. They’re the perfect balance of tart and sweet, and they’ll be a hit with both kids and adults.

To make these cherry cordials, you’ll need:

  • 1 cup cherry compote (homemade or store-bought)
  • 1 cup chocolate chips [sub enjoy life choco chips if dairy-free]
  • 1 tablespoon butter [sub coconut oil if dairy-free]
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream [Sub for coconut cream if dairy-free]
  • Confectioner’s sugar (for dusting)

To begin, line a baking sheet with parchment paper and set it aside. Next, spoon about a tablespoon of cherry compote into the center of each cherry. Place the cherries on the prepared baking sheet and freeze for at least 2 hours, or until firm.

While the cherries are freezing, melt the chocolate chips and butter in a double boiler or in the microwave (in 30-second increments). Once the chocolate is melted, stir in the heavy cream until smooth.

Remove the cherries from the freezer and carefully dip each one into the chocolate mixture, making sure to coat it completely. Place the chocolate-covered cherries back onto the parchment paper and refrigerate until the chocolate is set, about 30 minutes.
